As major record companies continue to lose their monopolized stronghold on the music industry, it's refreshing to witness the birth of new, much more cohesive, artist driven/founded labels. In keeping with this growing trend is Berlin's Monkeytown Records. Founded by 'the two guys' from Modeselektor, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, Monkeytown is a platform for artists of electro, and was established to support the scene and its talent during the international financial crisis. Painter, Graphic artist, and up and coming producer of electro, Siriusmo, is Monkeytown's first artist, and his promising debut on the label, 'The Uninvited Guest' bodes well for all involved with this new musical enterprise.

The sophomore album of the Lazer Sword duo since 2010's self-titled debut, their sound has developed from the hip-hop neon electro palette of then to the more spacious, bumping juke, r'n'b and techno fusions. Guest appearances from Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum seal the deal on this album, don't miss!
