Recording both under the names Lawrence and Sten, Peter Kersten has released three acclaimed long players and numerous singles so far, all showcasing his own unique brand of deep techno and house. He co-runs two highly recommended labels: Dial and Smallville as well as Hamburg's Smallville record store.

Lawrence taking it deep: 'Just Like Heaven' revolves around a distant piano phrase, carried by a subtle bass line, an open hi-hat house groove and transparent wild pitch strings. 'Sorry Sun' evolves from abstract synth bleeps, stacking up layers of warm, drifting pads. Perfectly reduced and fragile. Fantastic EP.
