A sub-label of Ant-Zen, Germany's most important outlet for industrial music, Hymen Records was founded in 1997 to cover the more techno- and ambient-oriented sides of experimental electronic music. During its more than 10 years of existence, Hymen has released albums by many of the world's most forward-thinking producers, including artists as diverse as Snog, Marco Passarani, Somatic Responses, Venetian Snares, Scorn or Lusine (recording for Hymen as Lusine ICL). The label is to this day based in Lappersdorf in the vicinity of Regensburg.
