From the cold, northern latitudes of Tampere, Finland, comes one of today's funkiest techno producers and DJs, as well as the founder of Frozen North Recordings, Jussi-Pekka. Meshing the sleekness of Detroit techno along with synchronous beats and acid flavors, Pekka has managed to bridge the bounce of house and the gait of techno like no one else. His latest release 'Hula Shakers EP' has some of the most driving and head-knod inducing tracks to come out this year of which 'Haerkaele' takes the cake--I dare you not to start moving when you hear this in a club. Alongside his productions, Jussi has been studiously working on his label 'Frozen North Recordings' putting out an EP by Kalle M as well as 'TheRemixes EP.'
