A synth-pop duo from Ontario, Canada, the Junior Boys where originally formed around 1999 by Jeremy Greenspan and Johnny Dark. A first demo failed to spur any interest from record labels and Dark decided to leave the band. Former Warp employee Nick Kilroy however liked the demo so much he eventually decided to launch a new label, KIN, with the Junior Boys as its first signing, and engineer Matt Didemus replaced Dark as Greenspan's counterpart. The duo recorded two singles for KIN as well as their debut album 'Last Exit', which was eventually licensed by Domino. When Nick Kilroy tragically passed away in 2005, the Junior Boys began to work full time with Domino and their second album 'So This Is Goodbye' became one of the hottest albums of early 2007, spawning remixes by the likes of Hot Chip, Kode 9 and Carl Craig, the latter earning a Grammy nomination for his version of 'Like A Child'.
