French house music had been Julio Bashmore's first love and a liking for catchy breaks and hooks can still be heard in the young Bristolian's productions of house-induced bass music. His 'Julio Bashmore EP' appeared on dirtybird in late 2009 and paved the way for a number of releases on labels such as Martyn's 3024.

Julio Bashmore manages to surprise us once again, this time with a deep vocal house vibe on 'Father Father', the inaugural release on Bristol's new Futureboogie label. An instrumental edit and the 808-powered 'Craboon' complete the package, the latter switching back and forth between house and r'n'b grooves.
