Throughout his career Jürgen Paape has remained something of an enigma - he has never performed live or DJed, no interviews with the man exist and - until very recently - no photographs. Jürgen Paape has chosen to let his music speak for itself and pull the strings behind the scenes of Cologne's mighty Kompakt imprint, which he runs together with partners Wolfgang Voigt and Michael Mayer. His 2002 hit 'So Weit Wie Noch Nie' was perhaps his biggest hit and highly influential in bringing the worlds of techno and pop closer together.

The Maxi-Single So Wird Die Zeit Gemacht was reviewed:
'So Wird Die Zeit Gemacht' off Jürgen Paape's recent 'Kompilation' gets a well-deserved single release, its smooth melodic house flow offset by its characteristic German vocals as well as the addition a slamming acid-rave remix of Paape's classic 'Take That' by Volfgang Voigt and Jörg Burger. Hit!
