After founding the house label Ovum Recordings with former partner King Britt in 1994, Josh Wink went on to record club classics such as 'Meditation Will Manifest', 'Don't Laugh' and 'Higher State Of Consciousness', which often employed a screaming acidline and broken beats - something of his trademark sound at the time. On the back of these early hits, Wink managed to cross over into the mainstream, while retaining his underground credibility, a feat not many others have accomplished. Ovum remains successful to this day as well, with artists such as Loco Dice, D'Julz or Steve Bug recording for the label.
