California based John Tejada is easily one of the most productive DJ/producers in modern dance music. While most of his colleagues work on establishing a signature sound within one specific genre, John Tejada works in all genres simultaneously. Whether house, techno, electronica or drum & bass, every scene gets something from this multitalent and Tejada manages to move within each field as if it were his own. Since 1996 Tejada runs his own label Palette Recordings, dedicated mostly to his own productions.

The Album Parabolas
was reviewed:
Few artists have amassed such a dauntingly diverse back catalogue as John Tejada, ranging from his ambient productions with I'm Not A Gun to bona fide dance floor bombs for Poker Flat. Now the restless Californian producer has joined forces with Cologne's Kompakt label for his ninth solo album, once again showing off his mastery of the techno long format.
'Parabolas' is an accomplished album that is a perfect display of Tejada's stylistic versatility, yet at the same time carefully establishes a common sound aesthetic.
Tejada's typically dreamy analogue synth melodies are balanced by more spacious and abstract bleeps and soundscapes, whether tracks fall into the tech house category like the album's single, 'Unstable Condition', explore electro and electronica flavours ('Subdivided', 'Timeless Space') or beatless ambient ('The Dream', 'The Honest Man').
Reflective and cheerful, restrained and exuberant - 'Parabolas' encompasses a wide range of moods and sentiments without ever sounding patchy, something only an accomplished producer like John Tejada knows how to achieve. Excellent.

The Maxi-Single Unstable Condition
was reviewed:
Ahead of a highly anticipated album marking John Tejada's entry into the Kompakt family, he harnesses his many years of expertise in two melodic cuts; 'Unstable Condition' winds splayed synth flexes agilely over a slick shuffly beat and 'The Living Night' a timeless warm, mellow tingler. Heavenly.
