Recently recruited into the ranks of the highly respected Dial label, Ohio-born Berlin resident John Roberts has been attracting a sizeable fan-base with his productions of deep and organic house grooves. Simple, but never simplistic, rough, but never carelessly so, Roberts' music breathes the soulfulness of US-American house music, while staying true to the avant-garde spirit of Dial.

Two years since his wonderful debut album 'Glass Eights' on Dial, John Roberts returns. A diffuser approach, his deeply luxurious productions lean more towards rich acoustic instrumentation, loose rhythms and grainy samples, with 'Crushing Shells' the nearest to 'Glass Eights' housier offerings.
