A legend in US-American techno music, Joey Beltram grew up in Queens, NYC, getting into the graffiti and music scene at a remarkably early age. When he 12, he stood behind a turntable for the first time, at age 17 he had recorded his first maxi single for seminal NYC imprint Nu Groove, and by the time he was 20 he had already recorded a seminal global dance-floor hit: 'Energy Flash', a signature tune both for the young producer himself as well as 1991's burgeoning techno movement. Over the years Beltram has released his tough, yet elegant techno tracks on some of the scene's most influential labels, such as R&S Records, Warp and Tresor.
