Originally hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Jeff Samuel was exposed to music from both Detroit and Chicago early on, with both cities located within driving distance from Cleveland. Samuel's stand-out minimal techno productions quickly found prominent supporters in Michael Mayer and Daniel Bell - the former contributed a remix to Samuel's first ever release, while the latter released his 'New Joob' EP on legendary label 7th City. A large number of highly regarded releases followed on labels such as Trapez, Poker Flat and more recently Contexterrior, showcasing his crisp and heavy production style. After living in Seattle for a while, where he worked as an audio producer for video games, Samuel has recently relocated to Berlin.
