Fresh off the heels of releasing his debut album 'Don't You Remember The Future' on DJ Damian Lazurus' label Crosstown Rebels, Jamie Jones' future is looking bright. What's wonderful about his debut, including the album's title, is that it isn't suggesting what the future of techno will or will not be, it is reminding us, in the form a sly rhetorical question, to embrace what techno is now and where it's come from. Without going on a tangent, techno is the first form of reactionary music to be created with machines at it backbone, and only hints at where it's going through the operator/artist's inspiration. Thanks to Jones' 11 years of DJ experience and his love for Detroit techno, deep house, and in his own words 'anything moody, edgy and groove based,' his debut will have fans of classic and contemporary techno and house movin' on the dance floor well into the future.
