London born and based DJ, techno producer and co-founder of Blueprint Records (along with former studio partner Richard Polson), James Ruskin is known for his forward thinking approach to all things having to do with electronic music. His sleek compositions maintain a grit and fluidity whilst always evolving in some sleight of hand manner, often suggesting that the music has a mind of its own and dictates where it wants to go. Combine this with a healthy DJ routine and you have a man at or near the top of his game. Having put out his last two records, 'Lahiane' and 'The Dash,' on Dimitri Hegemann's Berlin based label, Tresor, Ruskin's 'Sabre EP' marks his return to Blueprint as well as to his refined and rhythmically pressing sound. The EP (short though it may be) is what Ruskin's fans have been waiting for.
