James Holden first stepped into the limelight with 1999's surprise hit 'Horizons' when he was just 19. While a rather commercial trance track, 'Horizons' did point in the direction Holden was eventually going to evolve his sound in, an intriguing combination of melodic techno and abstract electronica. Holden started his own Border Community label in 2003, which soon became home to like-minded artists such as Nathan Fake and Fairmont. In 2006 Holden released his acclaimed debut album 'The Idiots Are Winning'.
