Ikonika started drumming in various hardcore bands at the tender age of 11 before getting into hip-hop production and eventually into to dubstep after hearing Skream's 'Midnight Request Line'. The bleepy, computer-game influenced style of her track 'Please' created quite a buzz in the dubstep scene and got a her a deal with London's influential Hyperdub label for the release of her first 12" in early 2008. Three more EPs for Hyperdub and Planet Mu are followed up by Ikonika's anticipated debut album, 'Contact, Love, Want, Have'.

Delivering a release to Planet Mu, over her home label, Hyperdub, Ikonika works her magic, making Moog-styled, neon-coloured synths sing across the three-tracker EP, 'Dckhdbtch', with 'Shouldn't Be Here' serving as a sombre, emotional closer.
