Ferenc E. van der Sluijs - better known as I-f, Inter-Ference or The Parallax Corporation started out making music in the early 90s. Our man from Den Haag was friends with the creative squat scene in his home town and was instrumental in founding the Unit Moebius collective, a sort of Dutch Underground Resistance. After their break-up I-f dedicated most of his time to his record distribution Hotmix-electro-nix and his labels Viewlexx and Murdercapital, focusing on raw underground electro and (increasingly) analogue Italo-style disco. The I-f alias first materialised in 1995-96 with the two part 'Portrait of a Dead Girl' series on Disko B. All hell broke loose in the summer of 1997 when 'Space Invaders are Smoking Grass' was released on Detroit's Interdimensional Tramissions label and was instrumental in jump-starting the ensuing electroclash hype. I-f however, instead of jumping the bandwagon he set rolling, continued to play it low key and on his own terms. His album 'Fucking Consumer' stayed true to his underground roots and many more releases under obscure disguises were yet to follow. Besides his labels he is currently running the infamous Cybernetic Broadcasting System web-radio and bulletin board and is active as a much in-demand DJ.
