Hercules & Love Affair is the musical project of New York based DJ and producer Andy Butler, well known for its disco and house music influenced recordings for DFA. Butler started out as a DJ in Denver, Colorado, before moving to New York and founding Hercules & Love Affair in 2008. With a concept of working with a varying line-up of collaborators, the bands first hit single, 'Blind', featured Antony Hegarty on vocals, while the current incarnation of Hercules & Love Affair includes vocalists Kim Ann Foxman and Nomi Ruiz.
