biography
label
Heiko Laux started his label Kanzleramt in 1994, in order to release his own material. His releases of powerful techno soon earned him the nickname 'The Hessen Techno Tiger' and in the meantime his label developed itself to one of the most important outlets for techno in the Germanic area. In 1999 Heiko decided to leave his aerie in Frankfurt and set-up a new home in Berlin. Not only did it mark a change in location but also a change in sound. His album 'Sense Fiction' was very well perceived by the critics and is considered the lightest sounding album he has ever made. Heiko continues being busy running his label, performing live and off-course turning the clubs upside down on three turntables.

The Maxi-Single The Viking was reviewed:
Heiko Laux & Steve Rachmad's 'Shared Wave' from 2006 is a veritable techno classic, so we've been eagerly expecting the duo's next collaboration. 'The Viking' drops 'Shared Wave's Detroit opulence and opts for a more modern approach with three reduced and subtle techno bangers. Strong!
