Italic is a record label for electronic dance music based in Cologne, Germany and was founded in 1999 by Marc Knauer in cooperation with Antonelli, its main focus being to release house-influenced music with a strong listening qualities and pop appeal. Over the years many renowned artist have been contributing to the label whether as solo artists or taking over remix duties.

Düsseldorf's Stefan Schwandner leaves the clean techno-disco of his Antonelli guise by the way-side for his first album as Harmonious Thelonious. 'Talking' is all about rough percussive grooves, taking cues from African music as much as from Krautrock and contemporary electronica. Brilliant album.
