Even though no one would question his authority on enigmatic stage performances, Gerhard Potuznik is just as well known for lending his production skills to a wide range of musical projects. Potuznik comes from the Cheap Records camp where he co-produced the techno classics of iO and the Private Lightning Six releases, while his solo recordings as GD Luxxe have graced well known electro labels like Interdimensional Transmissions or Breakin' Records. While generaly devoted to the poppy side of electro - evident in his recent production work for Chicks On Speed or Bunny Lake - he's been also exploring more remote musical territories: Collaborations with guitarist Hans Platzgumer (as Cube & Sphere), Mego label-head Ramon Bauer (as Sluta Leta), cartoonist Tex Rubinowitz (as Mäuse) or the writer Max Goldt (for his album Concorde+) sucessfully defy all atempts at categorization. For the past years Potuznik has been running his own label Angelika Köhlermann.

The Compilation 10 Years Of Cheap Records was reviewed:
10 years of label work has surely given Cheap Records something to show for and this compilation collects some of the seminal label's finest moments. From Robert Hood's 'Stark Reality' to iO's 'Claire', there's plenty of classics you'll find on here, along with some more off-beat material from the label's vaults.
