Mike 'µ-ziq' Paradinas' Planet Mu label has long become an institution of British electronic music, constantly innovating the field of broken beats since its inception in 1995. Originally a Virgin Records subsidiary, Planet Mu gained independence in 1998 under Paradinas' lead and quickly expanded its roster with artists like Jega, Tusken Raiders, Capitol K, Luke Vibert and Venetian Snares. The musical spectrum of Planet Mu ranges from glitch-hop to breakcore, and signings like Milanese, Starkey, and Boxcutter have made dubstep has another major focus of attention in recent years.

The Album Cloud Seed
was reviewed:
The brilliant duo Jamie and Roly Vex'd might have sadly parted ways, but have left us 'Cloud Seed' as their legacy. A collection of out-takes and remixes rather than a proper album, 'Cloud Seed' is nevertheless an amazing journey to the dark heart of dubstep, grime and experimental electronica. Essential.
