Funki Porcini is musician and DJ, James Braddell, one of Ninja Tune's longest-standing artists, whose unique recordings of surreal jazz, found noise and synthetic strangeness have appeared on Coldcut's label since 1995. His 1996 album 'Love Pussycats & Carwrecks' first defined this style with melancholic downtempo gems as 'Purrfect' and abstract beat escapes such as 'Carwreck', the latter of which got brilliantly re-interpreted by Squarepusher on the eponymous 'Carwreck EP'.
