Crossing the boundaries between classical and electronic music with admirable ease, Francesco Tristano Schlimé belongs to a rare breed of artists who manage to make their mark both in the classical and contemporary music world. He has attended conservatories in Brussels, Riga and Paris, and graduated from New York's prestigious Juilliard School. Despite his young age, Tristano has performed with some of the world's best known orchestras and recorded the Goldberg Variations, Luciano Berio's complete piano works, as well as the complete cycle of Bach's keyboard concertos with the New Bach Players, a group he has founded in 2001. His first foray into the field of electronic music came in form of his album 'Not for Piano' for French label Infiné, which included piano interpretations of techno classics by the likes of Jeff Mills or Autechre. His tracks have been reworked by artists like Apparat, Carl Craig and Moritz von Oswald. His newest project is Aufgang, a trio together with fellow pianist Rami Khalifé and Cassius drummer Aymeric Westrich. Franceso Tristano currently lives in Barcelona.

Francesco Tristano's spectacular album, uniquely merging classical and electronic is given a more palpable dancefloor direction with a stunning sturdy remix by Ben Klock, Tom Taylor & Paul Woodford spricing it up with classic house elements and Ark relishing the experimentalist energy. Essential!
