Born in 1977 in London, Kieran Hebden, also know as Four Tet, has been carrying the torch for abstract pop electronica for some time now and his productions have continued to challenge some of the more traditional structures/genres within electronic music. Beginning in 1998 with his aptly titled first single 'Thirtysixtwentyfive,' a 36 minute, 25 second track on Trevor Jackson's Output Recordings, to his remix of the opening track of Aphex Twin's 'Selected Ambient Works Volume II' in 1999, Four Tet has moved quite effortlessly through genres remixing artists from Radiohead to Black Sabbath. However, with the release of his second album, 'Pause,' on Domino Records, his brand of folk music samples intertwined with electronic beats and textures, earned had many calling his style of music folktronica. In 2003 Hebden released the album 'Rounds,' considered by many to be his most ambitious to date, three tracks of which went on to become singles: 'She Moves She,' 'As Serious as Your Life,' and 'My Angel Rocks Back and Forth.' Following the release of 'Rounds' Four Tet opened for Radiohead's European tour. In 2005 Hebden released his fourth album, 'Everything Ecstatic,' which saw his style shifting once again from folktronica to a darker and more densely layered sound

Perhaps one of the best, most definitive Fabric mixes ever(!), Kieran Hebden's artistry as a DJ shines strong. Field recordings of the club itself shape a journey through wayward 2-step gems, forgotten early UKF, rough edged house and techno & his own new material. A wonderful, heartfelt mix - utterly ESSENTIAL!
