Samual Shepherd a.k.a. Floating Points has emerged as one of the UK's most impressive new talents over the past year, combining elements taken from Detroit house, dubstep, hip-hop and electronica in his broad-minded, yet highly distinct productions. His track 'Vacuum Boogie', which was released on his own Eglo label in 2009, made many best-of lists that year, and more of his music has lately been coming forward via Planet Mu, R2, and remixes for artists like Sébastien Tellier, Four Tet or Basement Jaxx.
