Formed in 1985 by Larry Heard together with vocalists Robert Owens and Ron Wilson, Fingers Inc. was one of the first Chicago house groups and the first outlet for the production genius of Larry Heard. The year 1986 saw the group's first release 'Mystery Of Love' on DJ International Records that should become an instant club hit and reach top ten in the US dance charts. Though the group often took a sideline to Heard's solo project as Mr. Fingers, at their best they rivalled Ten City with expressive club gems like 'You're Mine', 'It's Over' or 'A Love of My Own'. They also spawned the first ever house LP in 1988 called 'Another Side'. This outstanding album should also remain Fingers Inc.'s last official release, though Heard kept on producing singles for Robert Owens and Ron Wilson, but moved on to pursue a solo career by the end of the decade.
