Legendary house music producer Farley 'Jackmaster' Funk got his start in the music industry in 1981 as a one of the original members of Chicago's DJ Team Hot Mix 5, alongside Kenny Jason, Mickey Oliver, Scott Silz, and Ralphi Rosario. Getting into the production side of music, Farley recorded his debut single 'Aw Shucks' in 1983, which was to be followed by some of classic house music's most memorable tracks, perhaps most notably his version of 'Love Can't Turn Around' and 'House Nation', both of which reached the UK top ten singles charts.

Another Warehouse hit that was to define an era: The piano chord progression of 'Love Can't Turn Around' became a blueprint for an army of imitators, and Jesse Saunders' emphatic vocals still cause goosebumps on worldwide dancefloors 25 years after release. Must have.
