New York City based outfit A Touch of Class has had quite a hand in the emergence of a phenomenon which is commonly summed up under the term "Nu Rave". The label's output comprises an eclectic mixture of Disco, Rock and Synthpop with occasional references to the city's old-school electro roots (even featuring a collaboration with electro legend Kurtis Mantronik), while stylistic coherence is ensured by its owners, DJ- and production-duo A Touch Of Class, applying their remixing skills to almost every release. The label further has to be given credit for leading NYC's electro pop act Scissor Sisters up to chart-topping success.
