For almost a decade Epy have been dissecting the broken beat genre with scientific accuracy: Carefully peeling away all excess layers to arrive at the barebone structure of minimalistic, uncompromising electronic funk. From the downtempo breaks of their debut album 'Schall und Rauch' for Vienna's Craft Records to their masterpiece of deconstruction - 2002's aptly titled album '~ahead of the wav' - dilution and repetition have never been part of the Epy philosophy. For the last years Epy have been working as production network spread out between Berlin, Barcelona and L.A. and have been recording for Viennese electro label Trust.
