The First Lady of German techno with an ongoing career for over ten years, DJ, producer, BPitch Control label boss and A&R Ellen Allien is well known not only to regular followers of the electronic music movement. She has come a long way from her first steps in the early nineties when she was resident at the infamous Bunker and E-Werk clubs in Berlin and had her own radio show 'Braincandy' and her first label with the same name.
This label was put to an end in 1997 at a time when it sure wasn't easy for an ambitious girl in the man driven field of techno and she started to throw parties in Berlin called B Pitch. Two years later she takes the risk to start the label BPitch Control to perpetuate the sound of her by now well established parties on records. With the first releases of companions such as Sascha Funke or Tok Tok vs. Soffy O she quickly makes the label one of the hottest names in electronic music in Germany and Europe.
The success of BPitch doesn't reduce her passion as a DJ touring the globe and releasing a number of highly valued mix-tapes.
Her musical vision is at the same time being expressed through her own releases such as her first long player 'Stadtkind' exposing her ability for fine electro-house including her voice broaching the issues of her beloved home-town Berlin, which was followed by numerous solo productions as well as collaborations with known and unknown talents.
