Elektro Guzzi Elektro Guzzi Elektro Guzzi Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Pomelo
Elektro Guzzi's line-up might resemble that of a traditional rock band, but their music doesn't sound like anything you would expect from a guitar/bass/drums three-piece. Rather than using machines, the three Viennese musicians Bernhard Breuer, Bernhard Hammer, and Jakob Schneidewind become machines themselves, creating precise, pattern-oriented pieces that resembles techno tracks rather than rock songs. Produced by fellow Viennese Patrick Pulsinger, Electro Guzzi have been signed to Stefan Goldmann's Macro label for their acclaimed debut album.

2012 was pretty quiet for the Austrian acoustic techno trio with just one EP so they open 2013 with a pretty intense arrival. 'Cashmere' knocks metallic melodies and a weighty ebbing bassline, whilst 'Crack Fox' strides with a bewildered urgency and a stripped down version of 'Cashmere' plays out.

On the concert stage Elektro Guzzi take their unique brand of live-played acoustic techno to a whole new level, and 'Live P.A.' does a great job in capturing this experience. A 45 minute live recording is complemented by four new tracks, making for an excellent demonstration of the Viennese trio's proficiency.

Vienna's Elektro Guzzi trio return with a new EP ahead of their upcoming live album. Over four tracks they develop their unique acoustic techno sound, 'Android' on a kosmische tip, 'Iowa' creeping with industrial textures and 'Vogelgrippe' tingling experimental techno. Next level dance music!
