Drums Of Death is the alter-ego the Scottish musician Colin Bailey. Drums Of Death emerged from London's club scene in early 2008 and after Joe Goddard from Hot Chip and Alex Waldron heard a tape of his music they signed him to their record label and party crew: Greco-Roman. Stories quickly began to emerge in the press that he was cursed by some voodoo magic and had his heart cut out and replaced with a broken drum machine. Whilst keeping his real face a secret with black and white paint and refusing to answer questions about these rumours about this curse he performed on stages around the world from Los Angeles to Bangkok, to London to Berlin and everywhere in between... As his reputation for ferocious solo performances grew there appeared whispers about a live band and...an album!

'THIS IS CLUB MUSIC', Drums Of Death's official web page announces definitively. It's hard to argue with Scotland's Colin Bailey on that one, as his latest EP, 'Black Waves', virtually attacks the dancefloor with a curious blend of bass, rave, acid, and techno across four tracks driven to the maximum output on Civil Music.
