Deniz Kurtel Deniz Kurtel Deniz Kurtel Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist
The daughter of mining magnates turned championship racehorse breeders in Turkey, Deniz Kurtel developed a deep love and connection to the sentiments of electronic music during her studies in the USA. Growing up with constant exposure to art from her mother, an influential art initiator in Turkey, and years of intensive classical piano training left her with a professional work ethic and a passion for art. An accomplished interactive sculptor, she quickly made a name for herself in the experimental art scene combining the use of sophisticated computerized LED arrays and mirrors. Her work has been the centrepiece of countless Wolf + Lamb parties in Brooklyn, and has appeared in various art festivals and exhibitions such as Burningman, Communikey, Horizons, Love's Secret Domain, and Rabbit Hole.

With acclaimed releases on Crosstown Rebels and Wolf + Lamb, a debut album from the multi-talented Deniz Kurtel truly shows her productions shining. Working with different vocalists, she weaves disco-inflected electro beats, funk and soul house with killer rhythms in a strong and heartfelt album. Recommended.

Turkish-born and NYC-based all-round artist Deniz Kurtel drops her second outing via Crosstown Rebels. 'The L Word' is a slick piece of vocal house that's guaranteed to win her many fans on contemporary club floors. Comes with a slightly more pumping Guy Gerber remix.
