In a Congolese basement bar down a Paris side-street is where you'd normally find Xavier Thomas a.k.a. Débruit dropping beats, but after recent releases for hipster labels Musique Large and Civil Music he's been on the body poppin' all over Europe and the UK. His style is futuristic hip-hop/r'n'b at its core, but liberal use of electro, grime and glitch elements make his music sit comfortably side-by-side with productions Joker, Mr. Oizo, Hudson Mohawke or Flying Lotus.

Parisian beat-smith Débruit lets another EP loose on London's Civil Music, this time strongly influenced by Turkish music and instruments, he fuses his synth-funk broken beat style brilliantly with these exotic flavours. Successfully oozing Eastern mystique with extremely danceable results.
