Though Daniel Wang was born in California, he spent the first 8 years of his life in Taiwan. Wang returned to California for highchool, and upon graduating, continued his education in New York and Chicago studying psychology and literature. It was in the early nineties in New York, whilst working in a vintage syntheziser shop, that Daniel started his own record label, Balihu, and began producing and DJing. Opting musically for engaging dance hooks, rather than the over-production that so much dance music is victim to these days with the endless capabilities of computers, Daniel's music echoes Italo Disco from the 1970 and 80s, but isn't without its own modern flair. His sound made a perfect fit for Ghostly International's acclaimed Disco Nouveau compilation, to which he contributed the lead track 'Pistol Oderso'. In 2003 Daniel moved to Berlin where he easily became part of the DJ community playing venues like Ostgut and Cookies, and went on to produce 'Berlin Sunrise' which led to a tour of Japan.
