A native of Whitechapel, London, Damian Lazarus broke into the music industry with a pen not a turntable. As one-time journalist and editor for Dazed and Confused magazine as well as A&R man for the UK based label City Rockers, Damian honed his music skills both on and off stage before going on to become one of England's hottest DJs. When Damian isn't busy spinning his crowd pleasing eclectic electro dj sets all around the world, he can be found studiously building his Crosstown Rebels label which he founded in 2004.

The Compilation 8 Years Get Physical Music was reviewed:
Get Physical have Thomas Schuhmacher compile this year's birthday mix and compilation for the influential label. The single tracks feature plenty of exclusives and noteworthy collaborations, including a tongue-in-cheek team-up of M.A.N.D.Y. with Matthew Dear, and Elektrochemie recording with Tiger Stripes.
