Famously styling himself as a Victorian dandy, Alfred Darlington sees himself more as a 'gentleman inventor' than a regular producer, as a convinced generalist tinkering with his scientific toys. His elaborate beat constructions however betray his education in the field of jazz as well his revelatory experience of listening to London's pirate radio stations in the early 90s. His innovative musical approach has gained him wide-spread recognition in experimental circles as well as the electronic music mainstream. He currently records for the distinguished Ninja Tune label.
