A true homeboy of the Rio's Borel favela, where he has set up his studio in his mother's house, DJ Sandrinho has started his musical career at the age of 12, following his older brother's footsteps, DJ Sapo Pemba in the sound systems of Rio. He is one of the most successful figures of the Carioca Funk style, both as a producer and as a gifted DJ, spectacularly using his trademark MPC sampler as a live percussion instrument.
