Console started as a side project for Martin Gretschmann, lead programmer for the Weilheim indietronica band The Notwist and also known for his recordings as Acid Pauli. His second album 'Rocket In The Pocket' however was signed by indie-major Matador and yielded the club hit '14 Zero Zero', which brought Console a lot of attention. Despite his success in the electro-clash field, he continues to record more experimental music for Disko B and the Notwist label Alien Transistor.

Four years after the last Console release, 'Herself' appears on Disko B. Martin Gretschmann (Acid Pauli and member of The Notwist) implements agile electronics, sugary melodies and dreamy pop vocals from Miriam Osterrieder to create an extremely accomplished album of emotive poptronica. Luscious!
