An institution in the German electronic music scene for thirty years, Conrad Schnitzler originally studied with Joseph Beuys before forming the legendary krautrock/electronica band Tangerine Dream in 1967 together with Klaus Schulze and Edgar Froese. Both Schulze and Schnitzler however left the group after their first album 'Electronic Meditation', and Schitzler started an equally influential band with his friends Moebius and Roedelius: Kluster. Kluster recorded and released three albums before Schnitzler again left, this time to pursue his own work under his own name, while Moebius and Roedelius continued the band as Cluster. Since his demise from Kluster, Schnitzler has released dozens of albums, cassettes and CDs, both on his own and on various labels around the world.
