Christopher Just studied painting before turning to music production under the influence of early Detroit techno. Together with DJ Pure he founded Ilsa Gold, who quickly became actionist rave superstars by liberally quoting pop music's history over hardcore beats. An inerrable sense of humour and postmodern irony soon became the trademark of Christopher Just's solo productions that usually feature enough musical and pop cultural references to make one's head spin. His impressive amount of releases has appeared on labels like Pomelo, Cheap Records, International DJ Gigolos, Combination Records and Kitsuné.
