From his well received, and largely electronic debut, Sounds of the Empire, to Nomad Junk, and his latest release Notes From Life On The Wire With A Wrecking Ball, Capitol K has grown into a charismatic live performer, recreating the productions of his albums onstage with a mix of live and sampled sources as well as a four-piece band. Born In Malta and raised in Dubai, Brunei, and England, Kristian Robinson, also known as Capitol K, has, through his hybrid upbringing, become something of a musical anthropologist. Because of his admiration for various musical traditions, Robinson has melded that respect into a unique style that is part lo-fi rock, electronica and pop. The implementation of a band into his live shows was not only the impetus for his third record, Happy Happy, but also for his record label Faith & Industry which has put out his last three records.
