Germany's exceptional producer Bernd Friedmann, a.k.a Burnt Friedman, started producing at an early age. His peculiar production style of dub, jazz and electronica makes his music hard to classify but easy to identify. Being busy all his career long, which almost spans three decades now, Burnt Friedman has also been involved in many side-projects, such as the legendary Flanger project with Uwe Schmidt, a.k.a. Atom TM. After Kassel and Cologne, Friedman now resides in Berlin, from where he runs the Nonplace label.

Burnt Friedman's Nonplace label celebrates a decade of dubbed-out jazz-tronica with a worthy compilation. Nonplace mainstays Root 70, The Embassadors and the Atom TM/Friedman project Flanger all feature with a variety of reworks, including a killer Mark Ernestus dub. Essential!
