Germany's exceptional producer Bernd Friedmann, a.k.a Burnt Friedman, started producing at an early age. His peculiar production style of dub, jazz and electronica makes his music hard to classify but easy to identify. Being busy all his career long, which almost spans three decades now, Burnt Friedman has also been involved in many side-projects, such as the legendary Flanger project with Uwe Schmidt, a.k.a. Atom TM. After Kassel and Cologne, Friedman now resides in Berlin, from where he runs the Nonplace label.

The Album Secret Rhythms 4 was reviewed:
Burnt Friedman and Jaki Liebezeit team up for the fourth volume of their 'Secret Rhythms', inspired by outernational percussions, dub techniques and spaced-out tones and textures. Sparse and hypnotic, this is yet another great album of high-tech voodoo.
