One of the most prolific electronic music artists of the 20th century, Brian Eno's body of work encompasses everything from abstract minimalism to pop music production. A member of Roxy music early in his career, Eno achieved widespread recognition with 1970s albums such as 'Discreet Music' and 'Music for Airports', which are widely regarded as pioneering works of ambient music. Besides his influential solo work, which popularised not only ambient, but also concepts such as generative and chance music, Eno has worked with and produced music by some of the world's most famous pop music artists, such as David Bowie, Talking Heads, and U2. Brian Eno is also known to frequently venture into other artistic fields, such as video and software art, as well as curating.
