Also known under his Beat Pharmacy and Echologist guises, Brendon Moeller was originally the drummer of a South African indie band, who tried to convince his band members to move to New York, but eventually ended up moving there by himself. To compensate for the loss of his collaborators, Moeller involved himself in electronic production, and when house music legend François K heard a demo of Moeller's Beat Pharmacy project, he immediately signed the producer to his Deep Space Media label. Moeller's unique sound can be described as a fusion of dub-techno and more organic afro-disco sound and has consequently been in high demand by a wide range of labels, from minimal techno imprints like Apnea to neo-disco outlets like Eskimo Recordings. In 2010 Moeller has launched his own imprint, Steadfast.

Here comes our June recap - its for all of you who might have missed some of the month's music over watching football or enjoying the perfect weather that surely must have existed someplace.
Outstanding albums have come from Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, more...
Brendon Moeller appears with his ninth studio album, following up last year's mainly beatless 'Subterraenean' LP as Echologist, 'Works' steers towards the dancefloor. His idiosyncratic dub techno textures are given expansive space, yet pristinely honed for maximum impact. Mighty.
