At only 22, Dresden's Break SL has already released two 12" on
Philpot to nice review and just dropped his debut album '
City Wasteland' which is a techno/house odyssey. The opening track '
Intro' is pleasantly reminiscent of Derek May's classic 'Strings of Life.' Sebastian Lohse (also known as Break SL) has been keeping himself busy over the last several years as a DJ, producer, and remixer of techno and house and credits a chance visit to a record store in Leipzig during a trip in 2000 with helping realize his dream of wanting to pursue electronic music. "I bought one record and from that day I knew that I wanted to be a DJ," says Break. It wasn't long after that the purchase of two turntables followed and his record collection grew to include the finest techno and house from Detroit to Chicago, disco, jazz, dub and hip-hop. Keep an eye and ear on this new talent.
