Electronic artist Darrell Fitton, best known for his recording aliases Bola and Jello, comes from outside Manchester. Ten years ago, the by now legendary label Skam Records also situated in Manchester released his debut as a triple 12" set limited to only 300 copies which still is a very sought after piece of vinyl. Since his alter ego Bola's first LP Soup was released in 1998, he has established himself as a well respected figure in the electronic scene. For his epic production works he is often related to Autechre but goes even further by creating his own sealed ambient environment not so much focusing on beats than aesthetic sound cascades.
