Based in Stuttgard and brought into being by Tobi Ettle and Michel Baumann, also known as Soulphiction or Jackmate, Philpot was created to spread their love for deep-house, techno and experimental electronica. Since its existence, Philpot has been home to a manifold of artists, including beat-chameleon DJ Koze or the outstanding Move D.

Philpot Records is one of those buy-on-sight labels for us, and 'Fear Diluted' by Lump's Arttu Snellman is certainly not a record you'll regret blindly purchasing: Two super-minimal and immensely funky Chicago jackers, built from hard-hitting 909 drums, bleepy analogue synths, and sparse vocals. Fantastic.
